FREE BOILER CHECKS

Gas can be safe, but in order to prevent leaks, fires, explosions and carbon monoxide poisoning, your gas boiler, fire and appliances need to be checked to make sure they are working safely.

The Salford City Council is currently offering qualifying owner-occupiers a free Gas Health and Safety check for gas appliances through us.

To qualify for a free boiler check owner-occupier and meet one of the qualifying criteria below:

  • Home owners who are 60 years of age or over and who receive means tested benefit
  • Home owners who are 60 years of age or over and who receive state pension only (with no other income)
  • Home owners who are 60 years of age or over and who are disabled (either registered disabled or can evidence disability, e.g. receiving DLA)
  • Home owners who are 18 to 59 years old who are disabled (either registered disabled or can evidence disability, e.g. receiving DLA)

Please note: grants are only available from the council while funds permit.

Call us today to see if you or someone you love qualifies for a free safety check.

I have had several jobs done by Helping Hands and I would like to say what a good set of people they are. When they have finished they leave everywhere clean and tidy.

Sue Bradshaw

These people are amazing, always pleasant and helpful. They have done several repairs for my elderly disabled mother-in-law and we cannot praise them enough.
